The Bachelor's Degree Program in Computer Engineering began undergraduate education and training activities in the 2020-2021 academic year.

Graduation Requirements

To receive a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, students must successfully complete all the courses totaling 240 ECTS credits in the undergraduate program, maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 out of 4.0, and demonstrate successful performance in their professional internships.

Admission Requirements

Students who want to enroll in the Department of Computer Engineering must have a high school diploma and obtain the required score in the numerical exams conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Additionally, a certain quota is allocated for vertical transfer applications from associate's degree graduates, but the applicants must meet the necessary requirements. Horizontal transfer applications from within or outside the university are also evaluated within a specified quota.

Program Profile

Students enrolled in the Department of Computer Engineering take basic science and fundamental Computer Engineering courses in the first two semesters. In the following semesters, they can choose from Computer Engineering core courses as well as technical, applied technical, and social elective courses. Students can take the desired courses during the specified education-training periods. Students who meet the conditions specified in the regulations can enroll in a Double Major or Minor program in another engineering field and earn two engineering degrees. Students who take at least three courses in the 5th semester and complete at least 50 credits/75 ECTS excluding distance education courses can do their summer internship at the end of the 3rd year. Computer engineers can find job opportunities in companies, various organizations, entertainment and culture sectors, research and academic institutions for the development, management, and use of software and hardware solutions. They can also work in different positions in areas such as Information Systems, Information Technologies, Software Engineering, Information Security, Network Management, Internet, Multimedia, and Data and Database Management.
